Re: wasted money&time!

I've bought from him a few times now, Not really all that impressed with the packing, almost all of the plants I got I received no label with it (unlike say Specks orders) Only way to identify the plants is by a number written on the bag they are packed in, which is often written in the worst handwr...

Lovely aloe forenceae, I bought a very small one from STC this year. It is already looking very nice. Mike what are your diffiiculties with erinacea? it seems to me to be a bit dry. Re: Aloe ID PLease

I believe dichotoma grows with the leaves not arranged in a fan shape (not sure what the word for that arrangement is, sorry). The leaves in this one seem to be all be growing in the same plane, I believe claviflora starts off fan-shaped and then becomes a rosette later in life?

Re: Winter re potting

I repot loads of plants in winter, never any ill effects so far. I find it better for plants to have a good start in spring with fresh soil : )

Re: More Aloes

Christian I have the same plant. I find it very annoying, its really easy to give it too much sun and have it get crispy. I kept mine in part shade after it got burned and it did alot better. I personally think Aloes look better a bit greener than usually found in habitat but that's just my opinion

Re: Aloe ID PLease

Pretty sure it's claviflora, can't think of any of the more common ones it could be.
