I use the foil faced insulation on the Noth side. Helps trap a bit more warmth if the sun does make a brief appearance. Essentially it's bubble wrap with foil on one or both sides. The parrasana that I have is a compact form that offsets like crazy for most of it's life. Probably 30-35cm diameter as it is now. Someone once told me that it was known as Jeff's Compact around the south coast but not managed to find out any more on the subject. The flowering from the offsets below...

Not much has happened over the last week in terms of height. I am hoping that the flower spike isn't too tall with this one and it can stay where it is if it goes dormant over winter. I am in Cambridgeshre , Uk My collection is dominated by Agaves which has been my main interest since about 2003 when confronted by an americana in full flower whilst on holiday in Portugal....
