Jondo do a very good range of grit of different sizes. OK if you can find a supplier locally to pick it up, perhaps an agricultural supplier. Delivery probably triples the price!

What I love about adromischus if there are problems like this is that you can detach a leaf and root again, and dispose of the soil.

Rather on the late side but Cactus World and the seed list arrived yesterday. Which got me thinking ...

Have field collection references gone out of fashion? A lot of seeds on the list have location details ( but plenty do not have) but no collection references.

Very interesting and a good outdoor set up. The shelter is impressive. Due to nothing other than shortage of greenhouse space I put my aeoniums and a large opuntia outdoors in spring. They’ve never done so well but are back under cover under glass now. I’ve not seen opuntia flower outdoors in UK and...

The flower stem is adromischus and not crassula but easy mistake to make.Interesting post Eric.
