Hello
My Faucaria felina flowered for the first time last week after being in large bud for almost 6 weeks. Is it normal for a felina to be in large bud for that length of time. The plant is situated in a glass roofed south east facing porch and gets the morning sun.

Re: Antimima dualis query
Scotland I know the reply is a few years late. I obtained Antimima dualis seeds from Silverhill seeds in South Africa in 2020. I tried sowing them in the spring and summer without success. I sowed 10 from the same seed packet at the end of September and 8 came through and are doing well. I also took...

I am looking to purchase one or more Lapidaria plants, from the UK, not seeds.

A most helpful new book with good line drawings and excellent pics.

Terry, thanks for the advice.
I currently use a plastic mesh at the bottom of the pot which stops soil coming through and enables free drainage. ( I just bought 5 x A4 sheets of plastic mesh for £3.50 on Ebay. Much less expensive than others on offer as it comes from China.)

Stones, pebbles, cracked terra at the bottom of pots worsens the drainage. Solved
Hello I read that putting stones, pebbles, cracked pots, etc, in the bottom of a container actually worsens the drainage, rather than aids it. Two universities in the USA have also suggested that putting stones or cracked terra pots at the bottom of containers does actually worsen the drainage as it...

Re: Own soil mix for Cacti and Succulents
Thanks to everyone for their advice/suggestions.
I will now start re-potting and will also do a couple of tests and see how things work out this year.
