Oh ! For me it's that blooming thug yellow oxalis corniculata , snails and mealie bugs ...... although I think I am clear of mealies at the moment ..they are horrible though when they appear . Debbie

Hi Jackie , I mostly use multi-purpose compost . I have quite a lot of them including a couple that were my Grandmothers......I have no idea where she acquired what must have been an unusual plant to have back in her day .....there were no garden centres back then ....she used plain old garden earth...

Hi Debbie, you have answered your own question lol. Leave completely dry until next spring. As soon as you see a nice green shoot off you go again. I agree with all the previous info. My g/h goes down to 5 degrees in Winter. If you are worried, remove bulb/corm indoors until Spring. Cheers, ps it's...

Thanks Martin , I think that mine has stopped growing , it is not soft , but has definitely shrunk back . I will give it another week maybe then re-pot it . How long does it remain dormant for ? ...or should I say ...How long does it need to rest for ? I will refrain from watering it until it begins...

Hello Bowiea volubilis fans ! At the moment there is only one nuisance and that is that little pinky/ red oxalis , which just pops up everywhere .
I just can not get rid of this ! How to stop it ? Anyone ? Debbie :???:
