Hi Dave, Thanks for the link, most interesting, and confirms my thoughts. It points out that cold-hardy species require a rest at near freezing temperatures in order to promote blooming in spring / summer. I'll need to check exactly which of my cacti are classed as cold climate species. In any case ...
