Thanks Stuart, but my plant has no all white band at the base of the leaves that the lines come out of, and also has some reticulation (cross-linking) between the line (llike comptoniana, but much weaker). Could well be a hybrid with that inbetween sort of flower, between say roseoluteus and tabularis? Time for you to start some breeding experiments, I reckon. :grin:

I'd agree that they have a short life, with a strategy to produce a lot of seed every year in a short life, and to start doing so at a young age, as we can see. But 7 months is pretty amazing! Quite a few cacti will flower in their second year, but I dont think I have come across anything quite so p...
