One of the problems with this species is that it develops very fat tuberous roots while the plant itself doesn´t show much growth. You have to repot it fairly often to accomodate the roots which the plant does NOT like in the least. I have never managed to keep a coahuilense alive for more than six ...

I think many of us have tried to catch a falling cactus just out of reflex,without thinking. But if the plant is saved, the spines in your hand are soon forgotten, no? It´s happened so many times now so you just utter a dirty word and that´s that.

Hello Cristi. Can´t say that M.lauii is a favorite even though i have a couple of them(without fieldnumbers) but that spineless form looks very interesting.Hope they will breed true!
