Re: Aloinopsis acuta
The seed in question came from Steve Hammer. He found out after writing his book on the genus that a nurseryman who specialised in hardy succulents was growing material in northern California that was in fact this long-lost species. So Steve was able to identify and propagate it. Two weeks ago at t...

Aloinopsis acuta
Last autumn I sowed seeds of A. acuta from the MSG. This species was presumably re-found in recent years after more than half a century without being recorded in the wild, but I would like to know more details on this recent discovery (year, population size, etc). I would appreciate if someone tells...

Re: Lithops injury
For sure not when the flower was open because I am very careful not to wet the flowers, but I couldn't say for sure at the time of bud formation. In any case I will be watching, thanks Suzanne.

Re: Lithops injury
Thanks. I said it is not sunburn because I know that it looks like sunburn. However, the new leaves are emerging with these scars, as can be appreciated, so no way of being exposed to sun. Moreover, the two pictures are from opposing sides of the plant, and those of the second picture are facing nor...

Lithops injury
Hi,
I have a pot with several L. karasmontana lericheana and one of them exhibit some injury in the new leaves. The leaves are emerging with these bounds, it isn't sunburn. Any ideas?

Re: Almost done
Great successes Astro. Both my comptonii (v. weberi and componii, sown 2015) and my viridis (sown 2016) seem too young for flowering. D. pole-evansii is a tricky species for me, I have sown several batches last years but only have two tiny one-yr old seedlings.

Re: Lithops flowers 2018
Still few flowers here. Today max 39ºC :???: I had max. temp of 45ºC yesterday but expecting low of 7ºC tonight. I'm kind of nervous but not so much for the Lithops, though. Any chance you could post the IDs? I like the second green one. I am finding it is much more difficult to identify Lithops. E...
