Re: Greenhouse V Polytunnel
I have both polytunnel and greenhouses. The greenhouses are 10mm polycarb. I would not like to try and heat it as it has no insulation values and I heat the greenhouse to 7 degrees In summer the temperatures are scorching. The polytunnel will easily reach 60 degrees and I have seen 65 degrees with b...

Re: Brought back to life and survived the winter
It definitely does escape. I find it in the most unusual places, last year I found some growing in my BBQ drip trayralphrmartin wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 5:04 pm Ernie, it's not native in the UK, but escapes from cultivation from time to time.

I would advise cutting out any squishy material or the rot will just keep spreading ….. If its just the outer leaves it should recover. Keep it dry for a while after.

Turns out its just a ...

Re: Echeveria Agavoides..the real deal or marketing gimmick?
So many plants are turning up with different names. It is really quite frustrating. A lot of the Korean plants have different names for the same plant with colour variation and people are getting scammed thinking they are buying something rare and unusual. (not all plants, but quite a few) I have a ...

Re: Born to Die- Agave
Tina. I would love to see pictures of your chopping in half/quarter method and the results. I have cored two agave, but only because they rotted. I am not sure I am brave enough to chop anything up but I am very interested in this method

Re: Agave talk & pictures
Really nice Paul. I think next year I will try a few outside again. I was looking back through this thread and my agave planter made me smile. It survived a few winters outside without any real issue, however it did not survive two puppies that took a liking to shredding the plants! from this.... 10...
