Re: Graptopetalum bellum
Indeed, some of the others get rather leggy and need to be re started to keep under control but flower nicely, I always think that bellum looks tidy even when it clumps up.ralphrmartin wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 6:33 pm The other species of Graptopetalum are also well worth growing - not so showy, but still attractive flowers.

Re: HILDEWINTERAS
Another group of plants that I have not paid much attention to, they are quite spectacular.
Are the flowers a one night and fade on the next day short lived event like most Echinopsis or do they last any longer?

Interesting that Tony's pans do indeed show partly formed holes, nice to guess right once in a while.

Re: Black BEF Pans - BEF Pot Archive
Had a look and all I can see are two 8 1/2 pans one black and one terracotta. Both have holes with some sprue and both look to be set out in a neat pattern as though that is how they were moulded, perhaps the pans had a ghost holes laid out at a set PDC for the user to drill but these do look like t...

Re: Black BEF Pans - BEF Pot Archive
I am sure there were green ones as well.
Back to your question.
I cleared the contents of my dad's old greenhouse last week all the pots are unsorted in old compost bags, I remember bagging some black pans but I don't know if they were BEF, I will try to remember to look tomorrow.

Re: Echinocereus rigidissimus ssp. rubrispinus
Great flower on a nice plant. Unfortunatly I lost mine over this winter, that and a Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus, I know why the Ario died, the late flower rotted which spread to the plant, the Echinocereus just died which is a bit of a mystery.

Re: Gymnocalyciums
Me too, the buds can take on the look of some alien species from a 1950's B movie.
The flowers are rather nice as well, though I have to say most of mine are not looking their best this year, certainly non as covered in flowers as those in Jean's pictures.
