Re: Insecticidal Soap? Solved
Hi Brian,
I've never used Neem oil so this is a new method for me
Do you dilute the Neem if so what with? and what ratio would you recommend?
and finally.... could it be sprayed on to the plant itself?
Thank you for your response

Re: Chempak fertiliser precipitate/insoluble component
I am a bit of a miser and the problem with it is that I can get the similar Chempak 8 at £4.50 per 800g from the local allotment society. To be honest Terry, If I had as many plants as your good self I'd be a bit of a miser when it comes to sourcing sundries  . Saying that I just paid a whopp...

Insecticidal Soap? Solved
After spending a few hours murdering mealy-bugs with a pair of tweezers, I started thinking whether it would be more efficient using insecticidal soap. What I want to know is, have any of you discovered a soap recipe that successfully removes mealy-bugs from the nooks and crannies of a plant? Is Nee...

Re: Chempak fertiliser precipitate/insoluble component
You didn't specify a particular Chempak formula. I use Chempak 8 and haven't noticed any particular problem. It is likely that an observation such as this could depend on the nature of the water used. It isn't one of the numered formula Terry it's this one.. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Chempak-Cactus-...

Re: When to put Aeoniums back outside?
I've always gone by the old tomato growers saying, if there's no frost in the first week of June then you can put your plants out.
I think that only applies if you're growing in the open air.

Natural or fungus? - Advice needed
I've been checking my Mesemb seedlings today and have noticed on one the Tanquana prismatica that a white patch has appeared. Unfortunately I can't see very well and I'm having difficulty telling if the white patch is natural leaf die back or if it is a fungus developing. The rest of the seedlings i...

Re: Keeping Record
I use Openoffice Calc to keep track of all my plants, I also intend/need to setup a record of watering schedules and I'll use Calc for that too.
