They do put on a good show even from a very small plant as you say.

They are both rather nice.

Always a nice plant to see flowering, mine are still a little way off.
I aim for heating to +5 deg.C but don't get much direct light on the greenhouse between November and early March which delays a lot of my plants.

At shows I have seen a Gymnocalycium bodenbenderianum approaching that size, but I am not sure they grow this large as a general rule. They are so slow anyway! I am fairly sure I‘ve seen Gymno horstii reaching this size, they are certainly nice chunky plants with attractive white flowers. I thought...

Both great plants and not using up a great deal of house room, I think I prefer the solitary plant which shows its age better in the photographs.
