Re: I.D. Please

Evidently the flowers were tiny and not noticeable since these red pods (??) are what I firt saw on the plant. It seems that the red pods appeared suddenly since I am in the greenhouse daily. Quess I just overlooked the flowers.

Watering greenhouse cacti in late fall/winter??

Where I live, Southwestern U.S. (Colorado) my greenhouse can get pretty hot during these periods. ...

Re: In your opinion, which are the 3 worst pests in succulen

Interesting Poll. Just a thought..........How about a thread addressing the control of/treatment for the top three? It would also be a help to learn what members have as treatment plans to keep our collections looking healthy. :cac2:

Hi David....You have some beautiful healthy looking plants. Looks tropical where you are. Here in Colorado, USA we will be expecting our first snowfall before to long.

I was given this cactus about five years ago and it has never bloomed......until now! Something told me that it would be in bloom at night so I went out to the greenhouse and got these photos. Re: Echinocereus viridiflorus

Phil... Thanks for sharing your photo. Here in Colorado, USA the same cacti are blooming in the praries although they are more green and less brown. Guess that no matter what part of the globe you are at, they seem to bloom pretty much at the same time.
