Phytosanitary certificates etc for seed from EU

Cactus Moravia emailed their new seed list with the following information - I have left any English errors/spelling uncorrected. But the message is clear. Any thoughts on how accurate this is re new EU rules? As a pointer to the substantial costs of this, £1 = approx 30 crowns. This plus postage plu...

Re: Updated seed lists

Cactus Moravia have followed the trend by emailing their new seed list to previous customers, without updating their website www.cactus-moravia.eu Of more concern are their comments on phytosanitary certificates. To avoid cluttering up this thread with comments I am posting the info separately in a ...

Is that a trace of scale insect I see on that Echinopsis oxygona, el48tel? I don't think so, Alan, I've been to check -- there's nothing crawling on it now. Scale insects don't crawl around necessarily when you're tracking them down, but they do make a home on the cactus surface covering themselves...

Re: Updated seed lists

As will be evident to anybody checking this topic, there have been many posts in the past commenting on seedlist content, prices, supplier response and delivery times, germination etc etc etc. The two comments/questions I asked (phyto certificates and restriction to EU) were no different - directly ...

Hi Aiko,
I ordered from this site 2 times, its faster than other Czech sellers. The germination rate was good.
If you use facebook you can contact with Jan Novak.
Good.

Re: Updated seed lists

http://kaktusy.webzdarma.cz has been updated a few weeks ago already. No experience with ordering, but as most Czech seed sellers also an interesting list. Again this raises a Brexit question - Some genera (Ariocarpus, Turbinicarpus etc) are listed as only available in EU. Where does that leave the...

Re: Updated seed lists

I am assuming the UK will not need phytosanitary certificates for import of seeds after Brexit, and trust I am right? I haven't found anything re Cites.

Sounds very reasonable to me, too. The book is a good size and a good weight. Beautiful pics, not just the habitat photos but maps, photos of seedlings at various stages of growth, a wealth of info.
