Re: Soehrensia formosa
I think S. rosarioana is generally acknowledged to be one of the smaller flowering soehrensias. This is a rubriflora form WR528 that I had from the Edgingtons, Unfortunately was away when the flowers came out!!! Still, flowering in a 4" pot.... 2396d_l_formosa_ssp_ros.jpg This one of mine also ...

Do you know if any is propagating E. (or S.) serpentina. Have been on the lookout since the original article but never seen it. I guess there's always ELK in September................

Re: May 2014 - Genus of the Month - Echinocereus

A very nice plant indeed, particularly as it doesnt seem all that common at the moment. IMG_9827.jpg I also had to share this one, given m...

Re: Akersia roseiflora question(s)
Funnily enough a few days after first reading this .... lo and behold!!!!!! I got this as a rather battered, shrivelled specimen from Abbey Brook nursery in 2011. Brian Fearn assured me that it is the real deal. After a little cosmetic surgery to remove some too-far-gone stems the plant has started ...

And a final four :
The very final offering is this superbly long spined form of E. viereckii with, as a double bonus, large, sumptuously purple flowers :
