Re: March 2012 photo competition - The First Flush of Spring
For the past three years this has been the first plant to flower for me. It opened its first flower this weekend, although the picture was actually taken a couple of years ago.

Re: Plant of the Month
Hi and thank you Bill. The original idea behind 'Plant of the Month' is to hopefully attract visitors to the site by having a feature which changes regularly, which in turn (again hopefully) might encourage new members to join the Society, participate in the forum or perhaps just grow more plants. Hi,
I'm afraid you are wrong. The plant belongs to Eddy Harris, who also supplied the article.

Re: Junior website - more pictures please
Hi,
Thank you for that Phil. It's a lovely plant. Don't worry about sending the original, as the pic I have downloaded will be fine. They don't have to be very big for the web.
Thank you again.

Junior website - more pictures please
Hi, Thank you to everyone who has already sent me pictures or allowed me to use those they have on line. I now need say one or perhaps two pics of caudiciforms - something like Testudinaria elephantipes (I believe that is called something else now) would be great and perhaps one other. Fairly large ...

Re: Big flower, ID and growing help please
Hi again,
Thank you for my complications.
AntTun - that's a good website and I see what you mean it could be obducta, which I note from the site is part of the hirsuta complex - I don't think it is though.
However, Peter, I agree it does look very like your plant.

Re: Big flower, ID and growing help please
Hi, Thank you for your replies. As it happens I do grow mainly cacti, but who could resist a plant with a bud like that. In fact my flower doesn't seem to smell at all - well I can't smell it, neither can my partner nor, so far as I can tell, the cat. Looking at the link Dave posted it seems that S ...
