I ate a wild Opuntia fruit once, I would probably have eaten more if it wasn't a hassle making sure that all the glochids are removed. The taste was pretty good.
Also tasted a piece of Dactylopsis once and that tasted pickle-ish.

Yeah, a lot of plants from garden centres have a "not for consumption" tag, I guess it's mandatory.
Probably just in case some genius eats a poisonous plant, gets sick and goes to court with it, blaming the garden centre

I have about sixty-seventy (not sure) different Euphorbia species that have survived several winters in my room, with a minimum of 2°C for only a few days, and 5°C for longer periods of time.
