Thanks, Sandi. I'm guessing that your Stenocereus ID is for "Fat Cactus"? If it is indeed the "Organ Pipe Cactus" mentioned in Wikipedia, then I will have to patient while I wait for it to reach maturity at age 150! Maybe one for my grand-daughter... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

See my previous post: this one features "Tall Cactus" (8 ribs, 65cm).
It has rather attractive V-shaped "striations" (see close-up), which my wife suggests could be annual growth marks?
