Re: Air pruning and Hydroponic Net Pots

Re: Help please - is this a mealybug attack?
Thanks a lot for your reply Carl. Do I need to change the soil too? I guess I might as well to be careful. No other plants seem to have any residue of a similar manner on them so I am unsure if I should just wipe all the plants with alcohol anyway to keep them safe? What if spray the whole thing wi...

Re: Help please - is this a mealybug attack?
Hi FaeLLe, Your photos aren't quite clear enough to make out individual critters but from the look of it I would suspect Mealybug the Isopropyl Alcohol you have will do the trick (Methylated Spirits is an old favourite) make sure you dip a cotton bud in the alcohol and then carefully dab each Mealyb...

Re: Damping off?
It looks like the kind of spiders-web type fungus that you occasionally get from the seed rather than the potting mix. I find it easy to remove with tweezers as it tends to come off without separating into lots of bits and, once removed, it doesn't tend to return. Thanks Wilk it seemed to radiate f...

Mealy bug will feed off anything if the need arises... I've been chasing the little sods round my home for the past year, it looks like I'm going to have to get rid of every possible plant they can eat in the house, so far I have found them on Cacti cuttings, Seed Potatoes, Fruit (in the bowl...), A...
