Re: Inkbird thermostat for 3kw heater ?

It looks like that has the same chip set since the operating instructions are the same The hysteresis or difference value for heat and cool can’t be set separately. My diy version is truly analog and set temps and hysteresis are hardwired. It’s just that it has been operating for over 10 years now a...

Re: Inkbird thermostat for 3kw heater ?

Not sure about 'eee bay' Tina, this one came from the Inkbird store on Amazon. There does seem to be a few very similar clones of this type of thing around, probably using the same innards with different outer case branding and plugs and sockets.

Dave.

Re: Inkbird thermostat for 3kw heater ?

Hi Folks. I recently bought an inkbird temperature controller to use as a back up for my DIY controller in the glasshouse and to control my heated propagator. My initial thoughts was that it has indeed been built to a price. The 3 pin plug is even a struggle to fit into its own outlet socket. The ma...

Re: Agave talk & pictures - editing pic’s

Grab a copy of the GIMP, quite a powerful package and works well on Linux and windows. It’s open source and free. There are also some powerful plugins that you can get for specific jobs.

Re: Agave talk & pictures

Regarding pollen in the fridge, I have only tested that up to a week once thawed out and rehydrated to ambient humidity. After that the viability falls away, there is some pollen germination still there. From my perspective its better to thaw out a fresh vial as I have plenty to go at. When I have a...

Celsii x polycantha.

Not one of my favourites, I'm not a fan of long floppy leaves.

Re: Agave talk & pictures

Two kind of parrasana x sobria, the first one is fairly typical of the bulk of the seedlings. The second one, there has only been about 1 in 10 of these and it seems to be more like a parrasana on steroids. Seems to have hybrid vigor.

Re: Agave talk & pictures

Paul, Yes I have done all of the crosses myself by saving pollen in the freezer. Parrasana pollen was still good after 4 years until it ran out. I can be quite a mixed bag with the seedlings, some were worth the effort but others were not an improvement on either of the parents. Have some boldinghia...
