Re: December eNews

Thanks, received. A rather stark warning from the Terry Smale article. Order seeds now, or regret it!

I don't know about that, but to me it is a stale old well-used phrase that is so hackneyed I am incredulous that it should be used for a supposedly new approach to Society branding and promotion.

Re: Not Secure

nobody likes changes Not sure about that. Many I am sure might agree with me that change is not only inevitable but can be welcome, if it is positive, change for the better. In this field of website design and implementation I hope, indeed, that the long awaited new website matches expectations, an...

Re: Not Secure

I have certainly learnt something with respect to the difference between http and https. Now here's another question for you techies: why do I get the old banner when going into the website using Chrome but the new garish one if I go in using Explorer? I get the same, but I think in this case it is...

Re: Essex Succulent Review

I always look forward to the Essex Succulent Review arriving in my inbox, and Decmebr's edition is excellent as ever. I feel a tad disappointed the name is changing, the title reflects for me the present and previous editors' efforts and hard work, and a bit of history. Which is not to say that the ...

Re: Updated seed lists

Although I consider collection of small quantities of seed from the wild to be OK from a moral and conservation perspective, it is almost impossible to do so legally these days from most countries. The main problem is the biodiversity treaties (Rio and then Nagoya) which essentially say that plants...

For sale for a soil acidifier or soil nutrient only. Using it as a fungicide you are committing an offence.

I bet you are now quaking in your boots ;-)

Re: Updated seed lists

Adding a complication, many of the Czech seed suppliers seem to provide seed not only from their own production, or from their own field trips, but from some sort of co-operative of smaller seed producers. Presumably this is why it can take Czech suppliers some time to collect together an order from...
