Re: Early seed results?

I’ve got germination in all the Turbinicarpus and Thelocatus pots. None in either of the Coryphantha and not a lot in the Mammillarias, probably less than 20% of the Mamm packets showing anything. Interestingly, those Mamms that are germinating are mostly from the Ancistrocanthae. Don't forget to l...

Re: EU Plant Passport Scheme

I registered to issue plant passports last year so that we could sell our seedlings by mail order. The initial inspection was carried out free of charge. Re: Help with a project

Thank you Mike and Acid John for your comments. Yes, in my 'short' introduction to the survey I only mention the risk the horticultural trade is to cacti in the wild; a very significant risk and one of the main focuses for my dissertation. If you are interested in the report I refer to in the introd...

Help with a project

I'm currently working on my dissertation for the RHS Master of Horticulture qualification, for which I am looking at the ex situ conservation of Cactaceae in the UK. As part of my research, I am undertaking a survey looking at a selection of mammillarias. If you have a few minutes to spare, I would ...
