Re: Ceriod Cactus ID, please.

I would hazard a guess that the original yellow growth is a mineral deficiency and since being in your care that has been rectified through either repotting or watering. Personally I think that the yellow area detracts from the plant overall. If it was mine I would probably remove that stem low down...

Re: Echeveria Agavoides..the real deal or marketing gimmick?

I had thought that the name "romeo" was a valid one also. It is the proper name for "taurus", which seems to have been applied by a wholesaler at some point.

Re: Born to Die- Agave

This is always frustrating, I have two variegated Mammillaria giselae from the same batch of seed. One is evenly variegated and growing very nicely but the other is in blocks. The second seems to be being overcome by the variegation as it grows. At least cacti can be grafted though. Fingers crossed ...

euphorbia globosa question

Anyone know if E. globosa is self fertile? My plant has produced a seed capsule but I don't grow any other euphorbias let alone another globosa. I intend to sow any seed just to see what grows anyway.

Re: Simultaneous flowering

My two pelecyphora strobiliformis seem to alternate, just as a flower or two fade on one, the others buds open. Just as THOSE fade, the other opens some more. Swear they do it to me on purpose....
