Copiapoa crucicentra
I bought this plant a while ago, and now that I've finally begun fixing up my plantlist/database I have issues with it's name.
I don't seem to find a lot of information on Copiapoa crucicentra? Is it an actual species, spelling mistake, ...

Re: been sowing
I haven't had problems with germinating Encephalocarpus, so maybe you got some bad seeds? That could very well be the case! I buy from the BCSS seedlist each year but where else would you recommend to buy seed (legally)? I have, in the last few years, bought seeds from Aymeric De Barmon (ADBLPS gra...

been sowing
I've sown some cacti last month. Right now many have succesfully germinated. One of the Ariocarpus' hasn't germinated at all and some of the Islaya's have germinated poorly or not at all. And as usual with me, no Encephalocarpus have germinated... I sow in this kind of pots, same concept as the bagg...

Astrophytum myriostigma var. nudum would be 3. I don't seem to get where the other 3 are coming fromChris L wrote:Has any one worked out my 5 A's? There are six if you count "Apex" as one.

Re: January 2013 - A is for ......
keeping it simple, A is for ... Acanthocalycium thionanthum var. copiapoides. I love Copiapoa's, and I'm rather fond of Acantho's, so I had to buy this plant when I saw it at the ELK in 2010. edit: I see we're counting A's, so if the var. counts then I've got 6, otherwise 5. http://i895.photobucket....

Re: Euphorbia submammillaris

I'm not sure about the differences but after what you said Mc Farland I checked euphorbia.de and it says that mammillaris grows like this: g_sb.gif and submammillaris grows like this: g_st.gif So maybe when my plant grows bigge...
