Re: is this cannibalism

Seen at my local supermarket- That is probably a better end than being turned into a plastic ! ( http://forum.bcss.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=168440&hilit=plastichilit=plastic#p279985 ) Hmmm, looks like a plastic bottle though, I wonder how many of it's cactus cousins were sacrificed...

Re: Natural Predators....

Methinks a tad wobbly - but you could try one of these sharpening and shake reduction apps eg Topaz Sharpen AI Touché :) but it was hand-held and I didnt mean to study entomology* (I only took the pics on spur to aid in later identification, which I since think it may have been a queen as well ?) Re: Natural Predators....

Excellent use of macro photo gear ...... and the subjunctive. Thank you :) Straying slightly from the predator OP theme into the macro, and re-examining my folder of that day, thought you may like to see a bit more of its scary anatomy ! :- An interesting structure inside its eye. Surprised to see ...

Another ID please

This one is an old faithful, putting on a good display each year, but it is several decades old and the label has totally faded :(
An id on at least the genus would help, if not the species, and then we can look out for similar plants,
thanks.

Re: Chairman Ian's recruitment drive.

Well, no reply to my OP questions either ! and I didnt mean it to be this serious ( see my "hilarious" ) anyhows, I have joined now and dont intend to leave this mortal coil just yet. Recently Ian gave us a hilarious statistic, the proportion of 'oldie' BCSS members that will soon need to ...
