Agave parryi HK 1684

Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this plant, specifically what does the "HK 1684" mean? a google search just yields that It's quite hardy, but whether that is anything different from a 'normal' A. parryi I have no idea. Hopefully, Sachi http://farm7.static.flickr....

Re: Seramis

Hi there, I bought a massive amount of the tesco cat litter, which is comprised of Danish moler clay (google this for more info). I've found it really awesome at bottom of pots for drainage, as well as mixed in just my general potting mix. Haven't used it for rooting much but I plan to, hope this he...

Ex-habitat plants?

Greetings all, I have found a rather nice Pachypodium horombense on eBay, looks to be at least 10-15+ years old, which seemed a bit fishy considering the price, so I asked the seller if it was ex-habitat, to which he replied yes. I'm not quite clued in about ex-habitat plants, but does this mean tha...

Re: Rare or unusual cacti to buy Solved

Hi Rolfe, From the looks of things she likes most plants, quite a few different cacti there and what looks to be a south african bulb of some sort, neat. I see some lithops (living stones) so maybe you could buy her some of these? eBay is quite a good place to look, if you just type in 'Cacti' or 'C...

Re: Succulent and Xerophytic Plants of Madagaskar: Vol 1&2

Thanks guys,

I'm going to see if I can track down some fairly cheap copies of this book. At this stage it actually looks cheaper to get it shipped from the USA than buy it here in the UK :???: madness!

Succulent and Xerophytic Plants of Madagaskar: Vol 1&2

Hello everyone! I was reading through the back issues of the Journal, and in one a review was done of the aforementioned book, which sounds pretty good. However from what I've been able to discover it's around £160-£200+ for both the volumes! Ouch! Can anyone that owns or has read this book give me ...
