My personal opinion is that they hate heat and stop growing immediately. I sow them with the same method as with lithops with reasonable success. for my method see here: http://lithops.padstoel.nl/propagion%2520of%2520Lithops.html. I soak fresh seed in water and renew the water 3 times. This gives me germination >50%, The idea is to wash out inhibitors.

I germinate with even colder conditions. Max 20 and min 5 C. Never had good results with higher temperature. When , like you, have no germination at all I should also check the soil and water.

I witness the same early blooming on gracilidelineata and even ruschiorum. All pesudotruncatella are already gone. Could it be that the relative warm early spring has something to do with this?
