New BCSS publication 'Succulents in Nature'

I regret to inform members that our new publication 'Succulents in Nature' is not going to be ready in time to be launched at the National Show due to a hold up in technical layout.

Re: Ubink open day

Suzanne and I visited this event along with Terry and Jennifer Smale. The nursery was vast and we didn't have time in the day to visit every area. We did however come back with a car full of plants. With the plants essentially priced by size some of the less common items were real bargians. The supp...

Re: Announcement of the death of Tony Johnston, Scunthorpe

Members might like to know that Tony Johnston's Copiapoa collection has moved to Sussex and will be kept together. There are many fine and rare old plants some dating back to the 1960s with acquisition data. All have been repotted and treated for mealy bug which was starting to break out. If anyone ...

Re: Suppliers for Larger Greenhouses

Re: Richard and Wendy Edginton's website

I was a bit late in renewing the domain name registration.

It should be back to normal tomorrow.

Thanks for the alert.

Re: BCSS Adverts on site

I am posting this in my capacity as web master of the Cactus and Succulent Plant Mall. The BCSS policy is only to advertise nurseries on-line that pay for adverts in CactusWorld. I refer members to the disclaimer which appears alongside the Journal adverts that "Advertisements are published in ...

Branch and Zone websites

I hope some of you by now will have read my piece in the back of the newslettter section in the recent journal about the new options we have set up for Branch and Zone websites. Since I wrote that piece on the 5th of February we have already made encouraging progress in setting up new branch pages a...

Re: December journal and seedlist

It appears that the American November/December journal is also held up in this mess.

Has anybody received their copy yet?

I am being prssured to get the contents on-line and have not yet received my copy which is supposed to come by priority international mail.

Re: December journal and seedlist

It quite obvious that the Post Office has been skimming off the top of the pile as many recently posted items (in the last couple of days) have arrived on time, so perversely if the journals had been posted a couple of weeks late we would probably all have them by now. Unfortunately these delays hav...
