I use the foil faced insulation on the Noth side. Helps trap a bit more warmth if the sun does make a brief appearance. Essentially it's bubble wrap with foil on one or both sides. The parrasana that I have is a compact form that offsets like crazy for most of it's life. Probably 30-35cm diameter as it is now. Someone once told me that it was known as Jeff's Compact around the south coast but not managed to find out any more on the subject. The flowering from the offsets below...
