Re: Key to Stenocactus species?
I'm looking at a key by Nigel Taylor in CSJGB, 1979. Can you remember if the flower was white with pink/purple tones/stripes or yellowish without the pink/purple? (Or would you like me to take some photos and email it to you? :) It's a detailed review of all the old names, most of which he bins, but...

Re: The dreaded white mealie bug
I was asking something similar, Chris, a week or so ago. http://www.bcss.org.uk/forum/read.php?1,85739 There didn't seem to be a definitive answer.

Re: Adromischus Updated!
I haven't seen the work on Adromischus in Cactus & Co so can't comment on it's quality. I can comment on the worth, in principle, of what he seems to be doing, namely creating 'non-botanical' (for want of a better term) names for all the thousands? of plants we treat as special but which have no...

Re: don,t think so
I almost never see plants on ebay that interest me, even if it is only a few miles away (it might be nearer to iann, who knows?) What puzzles me is lower down on the listing when he says: "I WILL HAPPILY POST ABROAD BY ARRANGEMENT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ABOUT MY OTHER SIZES AND COLOURS" :...

Re: North West Cactus Mart
It's an Eriosyce, it came as Neochilenia chilensis. I had a Kent Sunrise many moons ago and can kind of see how the colour could remind you of it.

Re: North West Cactus Mart
I was just trying to find some photos of last year's event but there weren't any in last year's thread although there are some photos of plants people bought.

He's given the small Opuntias a similar treatment recently too.

Hutchison Borzicactus/Cleistocactus
Anybody any ideas what this is? It came from Abbey Brook last Summer. The label reads as follows: "Borzicactus hutchisonii nom. prov. PH205.01 Very rare plants discovered by the late Paul Hutchison but never described. To be published in CSSAJ in" before it runs out of space. I've had a ru...
