Re: Aloe polyphylla

Hi Edds,
That sounds good, glad someone else is flowering theirs at the moment. It looks as though yours is about a week away from opening its first flower.. So yes please to the pollen and contact again when available.
Best wishes, Suzanne

Aloe polyphylla

Hi All, I wonder if one of you has A.polyphylla flowering and would like to exchange pollen. We have one of David Kirkbright's which has been outside unprotected, save for being up against a west facing wall, for the last two winters and it obviously had enough water this winter which is what probab...

Re: Calibanus hookeri

HI Mike & Paul, I have two Calibanus plants which flower most years but I cannot tell which is male and which is femal, perhaps they are both the same sex! They don't always flower at the same time which makes it a little difficult for comparison. I currently have Agave parryi v. huacuchensis sk...

Re: Echeveria problem

Hello JonNo, Always sad when a plant does not perform as you know it should and the resaon is not clear. I have a suspicion that your Echeveria is kept on a windowsill? If that is the case then it is probably a double-glazed windowsill and is therefore cutting down the beneficial rays that this plan...

Re: how to fix polycarbonate panels in a greenhouse roof

Hello all, I fully believed that a number of you would come across with some suggestions for our problem for which I thank you all. I think the simplest wil be the Dow Corning glue which we h ave used in constructing fish tanks in the past but that was glass to glass, aluminium to glass will be a al...

how to fix polycarbonate panels in a greenhouse roof

HI, I do so hope that someone can come up with a suggestion to help us fix our polycarbonate roof panels in place. We have struggled to keep them in place for some years now but matters are only getting worse with the continuous strong winds we have had this winter, waking up to find that one or two...

Re: Field Number Database - more additions

Hi Ralph,

I have been meaning to ask for some time now if you have ever managed to amass a list of CM (Cole mesembs, other than Lithops) numbers? I have not found them on your database.

Best wishes, Suzanne

Re: Society labels

Hi Mike, There is hope, one of our members has sourced a company which can produce them it is now a matter of negotiating a price and plucking a number out of the air for production. This is being looked after by the Society not me. They are trying to get a slightly thicker product as the previous o...

Re: Monilaria in bud

Hi Tom, Thanks for your thoughts and you never flowered a Monillaria ! I have four or five plants of Mitrophyllum in flower currently, mostly yours, but they are much easier to flower once they have reached maturity and are growing fast enough. I am hopeful that one of my Meyerophytums is thinking o...
