Re: Server outage

I think I need to clarify a bit. The server never actually went down, it was on-line all the time. The problem was that the route through the internet advertised to get to it was corrupted by the bug in the hosting copany's routers in their Data Center. When you were able to contact the server would...

It was apparently due to a bug in the routing software/firmware at the data center in USA where the ser...

Re: The BCSS at ELK

We did have a stand in the main Hall for the first few years we had a stand at ELK. (This predated the use of the marquee). We found it quite difficult to operate the stand from there due to the overcrowding and noise. Publication and membership sales need more conversations than plant sales and oft...

The BCSS at ELK

Suzanne and I are putting on a publicity and sales stand for the BCSS at ELK as usual. Unfortunately this year we won't be accompanied by Terry and Jennifer Smale as Jennifer has suffered a fall, broken a bone in her pelvic region and has very restricted mobility at present. We are therefore going t...

I visited her at their intensive care cardiac unit this evening and although sleepy from the...

Re: We are moving!

Just a note for the reason for the move; the new server has twice the disk capacity and four times the processor power of the old one so it should be faster and eliminate the rather slow periods which have been occuring when the weekly backups are done. All Branch and Zone sites are already on the n...

Succulents in Nature

I now have copies of this new BCSS publication.

Pre publication orders will be dispatched as soon as we can.

Note all overseas orders will now go via the mailing house we use, Royal Mail having priced themselves out of the competition.
