For me it's probably 70/30 show/plant sales. I go to ELK every year and find that gives me my annual fix of new plants. I get more at the National from seeing and photographing the Show Plants and catching up with old friends.

Yes Dave a great weekend in a very nice location. I particularly liked listening to Davide Donati for the first time- my sort of plants!! See you next year.

Just a few days away now, I'll be there!! Although I've grown Cacti for 50 years, this will be my first time at this event. It sounds an ideal way to spend the weekend following ELK.

Just buy the plants that appeal to you, as everyones tastes differ thankfully. You will eventually discover the species that particularly attract you, as you start to run out of space.

I have a couple of grafted Blossfeldia which although flower well do not appear to set much seed. However, my plant growing on its own roots produces lots of fertile seed. The plant on its own roots although much slower growing as you would expect, is a nicer plant of grey/green colour. blossfeldia....
