Re: Cactus seed payment

I'm not advocating for removal of cheques if that's how people want to pay, I'm enquiring about alternative complementary methods. Thanks.

Re: Cactus seed payment

Thanks for your responses. I understand it may be an issue if using a paper form to order but pay online - but then why not just move online? As you said, perhaps with the overhaul. My issue is that I don't have a bricks and mortar bank anymore and have moved to an online-only challenger bank, which...

Cactus seed payment

I'm submitting my seed form for the first time. The form implies that domestic members should pay by cheque or postal order, but that overseas members can use PayPal. Is PayPal not applicable to all members? It would be significantly easier and faster for people to do it this way.

Re: Gasteraloe care question

Hi both,

Thanks for your replies. I will move the plant to a slightly less bright spot and see what happens. I wasn't aware of black spot - I've attached a picture of my plant, could you give me your opinion as to whether you think this might be the case?

Thanks.

Gasteraloe care question

Hi all, I bought a small Gasteraloe recently from a society meeting and have placed it in a south-west facing windowsill with many of my other plants. However, within just a few weeks there is what appears to be a burn hole emerging in one of the leaves. Is a south-west window too much for a gastera...

Good evening!

Hi guys, My name is Steve and I've been a member of the society for almost a year now, attending meetings at my local branch in Glasgow. I'm a small scale windowsill grower - I love houseplants in general and have an ever-expanding collection, but by far I love succulents and cacti the most. I'm cur...

Volunteers for an open hour on Twitter wanted

Hello all, I've recently taken over the BCSS Twitter account and I'm hoping to host a regular "Open Hour" session, maybe starting in late October after a period of promotion. This will essentially be an hour, once a fortnight or so, where we actively encourage people to send us their cacti...
