I quite like spineless freaks. Mine has a mix of normal and cristate heads, some of which I'm trying (not very successfully) to root at the moment.

Yes, the emphasis of what I wrote was definitely the competition aspect, I do like seeing others' plants, though the fact that some species are likely to rate more highly of than others limits the range a bit. Some show specimens look so unreal they might as well be man made.

There's a nice Espostoa distribution map in an old journal (BCSS 1999, 17(2), 73). It shows a Rio Crijnejas (different spelling) around which grow E. lanianuligera (now taken as a ssp of lanata) and blossfeldiorum (the latter of which that seedling doesn't look like). The cornifera is listed here too so presumably you've spelled it the same as Rowlands.

It must be a very small (or misspelled) village as a google of just the word on its own hits nothing.
