Bill,
Now I know why you keep saying that the other plant doesn't look like matudae to you - but this one I would agree might be haageana or at least something other than matudae.
Seems strange to have it blooming in a ring at the top and choosing to spout out some flowers from below also.

Re: Rhipsalis pilocarpa
The flowers on mine are realy tiny - not even 1 cm across - but I've never seen fruits to say what colour they are. Another type I have has white fruits but on that one I've never seen the flower!

Re: Euphorbia horrida/polygona
My polygona (probably "snowflake") is very grey but with hardly any spines at all. I could only tell the difference by the flowers, as Peyton said.

Re: What to see in Boston or Phillie ?
I can't recommend any gardens in Boston although I was there for a year, but you could contact the president or vice president of the Cactus and Succulent Society of Massachusetts and they should be able to give you some info. The CSSM website is http://www.cssma.org/ and the e-mail contact for the ...

First time Echinopsis blooms

Such a pity they barely last 12 hours, and I have to get up early in the morning to catch the end of the bloom. As ...

Some photos around my garden
Been catching up and rearranging my garden in the last few weeks. I have a bunch of ID questions, but I'll get to them later. I've just grouped most of my "other succulents" in this area. Over here, some of the Eu...
