Re: Adromischus help please
It's a classic! It makes me feel nostalgic because it was one of the first plants I owned as a kid and I often planted it in cactus gardens, etc, and gave them as gifts or entered them in flower shows. I like to grow unusual forms of a common species. If going for an unusual species, it might be fie...

Re: Rebutia time again
They look fabulous. I've only got a couple in flower so far. I did buy a few in flower but that's kind of cheating.

Re: North West Cactus Mart 2019
I think I bought all the Adromischus. Sorry about that. The Seyrigia looks nice and weird. Does it have a caudex? Does anyone know who the stall on the front row on the left was? I bought quite a few interesting plants from them. I didn't buy anything from Ian Robinson at the cactus mart but then he...

Re: Spring in the greenhouse
Lovely plants; Rebutia and Echinocereus are some of my favourites. All my Rebutia heliosa plants seem a long way off flowering, but I have an Echinocereus triglochidiatus with flowers at the moment.

Re: Adromischus help please
I've also got a plant of the one on the left, I'd been wondering what it was. I hadn't considered it might be a hybrid. It seems to get sold under all sorts of names when it's not in mixed trays. This is how much colour mine has got in a greenhouse. It's nowhere near as bright as Adromischus cooperi...

Re: North West Cactus Mart 2019
I bought a few plants where I had no idea what they were but I figured I could look them up and find out. Although I don't think I'm tempted by pretty plants, I think I'm tempted by ugly ones! I got Rebutia, Adromischus, a few Gymnocalycium, Anacampseros,Tylecodon, mesembs, caudiciforms, bulbs, etc....

Re: North West Cactus Mart 2019
I think I bought them all. Excellent event. Congratulations to the organisation team. Superb vendors offering great plants and advice. Bacon butties and tea were a welcome treat after a long drive. And yes I did have my passport stamped and purchases checked at Saddleworth as we returned over the Pe...

Re: Gardeners world (UK TV show)
There seems to only be the occasional segment about cacti and succulents, but they pop up a lot in parts about houseplants, exotic gardens, alpines, etc. There was another section about houseplants on this evening but it was more about design. Epiphytic cacti got shown and mentioned but no species g...

Re: Pelargonium punctatum Solved
It's such a weird colour. I bought my Pelargonium punctatum plant a few months ago so I haven't seen mine flower before. The spike's only about a centimetre or so high so I've still got a little while to wait.
