I don't know what I am doing wrong then I have some in now and after 6 weeks nothing. Oh well back to the drawing board.

I have been trying for some time now to grow some Melocactus violaceus from seed. Both fresh from my plant in the picture and bought in with no success. Malathion is known to kill brain cells. Be very carefull using it. I still use Doff and it's worse, only two boxes left.

This is Sansevieria 'Gold Flame' it was originally brought in from Holland in the 80's in large numbers. It is something of a rarety these days. Well Done Ernie, where did you get it.

I have just got Haworthia c.f. zantneriana RS493 and checked it against Ralphs acronyms aaand it came up with
RS 493
Collector: Roman Staník
Species: Mammillaria compressa
Locality: Bernal, Queretaro, Mexico
Obviously not Stanik so who else is it any ideas?

Thanks’ Dave I'll give it a try, I’m also going to sow some of the uncleaned dried fruit etc to see what happens. I will probably get some fungal infection but doubt it will do any harm.
