I've just heard the sad news that Brian Hill of South Wales Branch has died. He had been a member for almost 60 years, had various spells as Branch Chairman and was the very first Zone 9 Rep.

I agree with Colin that it's definitely not galpinii but I'm pretty sure it is a Kleinia/Senecio, possibly ballyi.

It looks like a purpusorum hybrid. Might "urbanii" be a corruption of the old genus name Urbinia?

Gloucester Branch Auction
Gloucester Branch will be holding an auction at Geoff Bowman's in Newent, home of the National Agave Collection, on Saturday 19th October. There will be plants from multiple sources - some will be ready for the show bench, others will need an overdue repot and some TLC.
