Survived the frost but....

I bought a sempervivum from local garden centre last year when I found it on their clearance trolley. I intended to re-pot it as it has rosettes overhanging the pot but never got around to doing it so it has been outside all winter with no protection when we had the cold spell. Today's sunshine pers...

Re: Water adjustments...

UK tap water should have minimum ph of 6.5 (see link below) When I was able to lift watering can I did add white vinegar to lower ph, now my plants have to make do with what comes out of the hose https://www.dwi.gov.uk/the-physical-and-chemical-properties-of-water/#:~:text=The%20UK%20drinking%20wate...

If I could see it I would click on it I took me a few attempts to get access, the credentials saved by chrome didn't work as they used an user ID not email address, tried my email using same password bu...

Re: Inkbird thermostat for 3kw heater ?

Just been looking at inkbird devices on amazon as one in my greenhouse has just failed (temperature probe giving very high readings) The ones like my old one all seem to be limited to 10A but I did find a different design that is rated at 16A so could be used with 3kW heater - same device seems to b...

Re: Sansevieria- a discussion

I've bought a few plants from Dobbies if I find them on the clearance bench when I go for my "free" coffee (get two drinks every month from rewards card) This was in a small fibre pot with no name, the original pieces are all cylindrical but a lot of the new growth that is coming from all ...

Re: November 2022 - Back markers

This plant has been neglected twice! Bought from Tesco last year when it had been on the shelves too long so was on clearance, looked like it was healthy and had plenty of flower buds. Unfortunately only one of the buds actually flowers, all the others dropped off, plant never got re-potted so still...
