Re: Another two grafts
Being playful has certain side effects. Like.. once I'm done with new toy I tend to forget it and look for another :( :) I kinda 'found' epithelantha few years after I've grafted it... Also, I root most of the plants during winter. I wake them up, cut them off and let the time do the rest. They do O...

Re: 2022 seed list
Does anyone know of any other seed list that comes out on paper? I thought that new era forced all of us to go digital... BTW, I decided to check our website and found this: Note for December 2022 list: The new website was still in preparation when the seed list was released, so are not offered here...

Another two grafts
The reason why I like grafting epithelanthas is quite obvious :) The other one is so called butt graft. It's pyrrhocactus that I've degrafted from pereskiopsis but it's been sitting for months without any sign of roots. So I decided to graft both halves. Of course the bottom part started roots after...

Re: Upside down
It's the bottom part of a seedling that I have grafted upside down. Common term is butt graft. In some cases such grafts produce offsets. At sides. In this case it seems that offsets might grow from roots. Who knows, too soon to say...

Harry Mak
I just found a plant in my collection, label says: H. pygmaea x h. bolusii by Harry Mak (and I have no clue where/who it came from). I found out that Mr. Mak played active roles in The Haworthia Society's history, but the data I found dated about 20 or so years ago. Any website I could find more inf...

Re: Winter miniature
@fatich: tough question
I'm sure I didn't sow it, so I've got it as a gift or purchased it. Give me a day or two (few ) to check my records. OK?

Re: Lighting and watering advice
Basically, most of the plants you've listed (if not all of them) are winter growers, considering their origin. It's spring right now in south Africa. But many plants in cultivation have adopted to northern hemisphere across generations. I don't grow lithops so can't say anything about them, but othe...
