I have a Stenocactus that I bought from Southfields at the Whitstable cactus mart labelled lau 1377 which has white ish yellow flowers, all the pictures of lau 1377 I see have the usual stripy purple flowers.
I will post some pictures when they open.

Good to see the old plant flowering for you, it is a quandary I have too. Some of my big old plants I have re started but don't have the heart to clear out the original material and now five years down the line I have several next generation plants which need more space each year. I would say that if you have a neglected collection which you occasionally remember to water, you are maintaining, just your plants.
If you are giving regular water, feeds, insect control, re-potting etc. then you are growing your plants.

Nice plant Jean, you have reminded me that I ought to try identifying some of my missing label Gasterias to the untrained eye they all look the same but different.

Very nice plants and photo, I have had a small plant flower for the last two years so don't discount the other ones buds eventually opening.
And I agree with you Nick_G grows and sells very nice seedlings.

Need to take this in context. Eat and have an empty can for the plants. OR Buy an expensive pot for the plant ..... and ... starve. I am with you there. When holidaying in the Greek islands I like to explore some of the back streets and always see the most un show worthy cacti and succulents growin...

Should be easy to grow another couple of pots of it and try them outside, I'll give it a go.
