Re: BCSS Seeds - Thanks

Hi Tony I'm sure Jeff & Diana will be pleased for the mention (tu) , I was chatting with Jeff yesterday & he seemed a bit snowed under with the requests but they are a good team & will plough thru the orders. I was spoilt last week as I had my seeds hand delivered at the branch meeting- ...

I think my large plant ( 25cm pan) will survive but haven't the heart to prod it too much incase it falls apar...

Re: Do they bleed too?

Hi Anttun
Yeuck, that looks awful .
Fingers crossed it's nothing serious but it looks very nasty I hope it's not contagious & the plants continue to be OK.

Re: Some grafts.

Hi Christer The Eriosyce occulta looks glowing & has to be my favourite for this batch, you make me jealous as you have your plants indoors so it's easy to have a little graft when you have time. I used to sneak my trays of grafting stocks in in the morning when the family was in bed snoozing :l...

Re: Grafted some Ariocarpus

Such lovely photo's they still remind me of sea anemones at this magnification, although I do wonder where you are going to put them all as they grow , it will be hard to part with a plant that you have grown from seedling & grafted, I know I never parted with any of mine  . Do you grow th...

Re: BCSS seedlist advice

Maybe a succulent or two would be a good idea as they grow much quicker so he will have something to keep him interested. There was Aloe plicatillis which is easy to grow.
Turbinicarpus are good for flowering when small.

Re: Dorsteniia Gigas- is it self compatable

Hi All Thought I would resurrect this thread as at last one of my d.gigas is producing an inflorescences ( or hypanthodium ) , it's one I purchased from ELK 2009 & was a rooted cutting. It's now 14" tall & was a twig (now has 2 little branches starting to grow) MY Question is are they s...

Can't believe the Cactus people haven't solved the quiz yet, maybe you have stunned them with the quality of the images or they are still recovering from Xmas excess :???:
