Some time ago I used unrooted pereskiopsis cuttingss for grafting because the stock grew way too tall. I wasn't too happy with the results because pereskiopsis dries faster on top if cut at bottom. Of course I could have been wrong way back then because I had less than 50 'volunteers' to play with. ...

@Acid John: So true :) :( That's why I asked here. As far as I know, Interpol deals with such (if) bogus websites but I doubt they ever get your money back...

Pic there are nice, prices are nice.. somehow it fits into 'too good to be true'.

They (seem to) have some interesting plants at acceptable prices, but I didn't find any contact info at their website (www.chinahaworthia.com) and that always makes me very suspicios...

@edds: so far, 99% of opuntias grew roots. I wish I can say the same for 'cerei-type' grafting stock :)

Unwanted spines

One moment, while carrying the tray with tephro-maihueno-opuntio beasts, was enough.. One moment = 30 mins of pricking the spines out from skin and sweats :(
