Re: help with ID please?
I find haworthias difficult to identify at times. Plants can vary depending on growing conditions and time of year. The flowers seem very similar but the shapes and forms can be interesting.

Re: help with ID please?
Looks like Haworthia attenuata to me and it’s as tough as old boots. I have one in a pot outside the back of the house, no room in the greenhouse or even under the patio table. It has been there all winter and looks fine. A washing up bowl is probably the next size for repotting!! As far as I am awa...

Re: Kew gardens 40+ years ago
I am not into photography to a great degree, but if you can save up the entrance fee to Kew, it is fantastic, including an excellent cactus and succulent section in the Princess of Wales Conservatory. We did a day out from North West to Kew by train and back again & wish we had spent a second da...

Re: PM in my outbox
PMs have worked plenty of times for me before. If the e mail element no longer functions it will pretty well stop the PM system operating which is rather a shame.

PM in my outbox
I sent a PM four days ago via the forum. It is still in my outbox although oddly it also is indicated as sent.
Anybody know if such a PM has actually been sent or not and how I fix this?

Ed. Yes the compliment was aimed at you, errr just got your name wrong, apologies!
Good idea there to hedge your bets. I have lanky aeonium seedlings, may just split them with different treatments and see what happens.

Re: When to prick out succulent seedlings
Nick I do not have the answer to your question, I try hard but I am usually disappointed with my seed growing. Read carefully the wise comments from Ralph & Phil, you won’t find better growers. I must say that I am very impressed with your results of recent sowing though. Go with your instincts ...

Re: Hardiness of succulents
Keeping your succulents in the potting shed seems like a very bad idea. Just too dark and could be too damp. They would be better on a bright window ledge indoors. Sansevieria may not survive below 5 degrees, that’s how I lost some lovely ones.
