Re: May - 2022 Don't hide your hybrids.
I raised half a dozen of these an few years ago - the mother is Thelocactus Conothelos v Aurantiacus with typical small bright yellow flowers but I have no idea who the father is (other than another Thelo). The hybrid flowers are peachy orange and fully 3.5 inches across.

Re: Tesco bargain

Tesco bargain
Found in my local Tesco this morning for just £5 - including unwanted ceramic.
Looks like Melocactus Matanzanus with cephalium just forming, and no mealies or body marks so a bit of a bargain.

I did wonder about 'Aurea' but I thought the central stem seemed a bit long.

Re: Chairman candidate hustings
Tina asked - Also how long has the society been a registered charity ? The BCSS has been a registered charity since 3 January 1985. It's governing document was last amended on 11 April 2015. Re: Chairman candidate hustings
Regarding the above discussions on "conflict of interest" I don't see how this can apply to the mere selling of plants. A conflict of interest "occurs when an entity or individual becomes unreliable because of a clash between personal (or self-serving) interests and professional dutie...
