Re: BCSS Website - have your say - design and feel.
I realise that large uploaded images are very much a fact of online life these days, it's a shame that little consideration is given to those of us who have limited bandwidth. I'm not complaining though, just stating how I manage it here. I think I have the option FTTC/FTTH here but use the net so l...

Re: BCSS Website - have your say - design and feel.
If rendering of pages is slowed due to irrelevant content (IMO) then those pages are likely to be clicked away from by me - I have a flakey line that BT have kindly just reset to 5.7Mb this morning :( Same goes for over large photos, some pages containing lots of large images take an age to render h...

Re: Sedum album Solved
Reminds me of a job I was on a long time ago, part of a sheltered housing development on heathland north of Ipswich. Half a dozen or so trees were to be planted, specification was simply that they should be native species The only documentation I managed to find at the time relating to asuitable def...

Re: Electrical power failure alarm.
Most computer UPS will have an audible warning and you may be able to set up email and other notifications - not a lot of use if mail etc. is on a machine that has been taken out of course

Re: pot cleaning
Anyway, as to pot cleaning I suspect Chris is right to question the received wisdom of having to thoroughly clean all pots. Apart from the cases where obviously diseased plant matter is still present, I doubt the plants take any harm from some old soil and sand. I like to clean my pots, but it's mo...
