Re: Poorly M bocasana

Still wondering what may have caused this damage, I have not been able to identify anything in many peerings through a loupe so I tried various treatments. The last was a tobacco infusion very late in the season in the hope that would kill anything in the compost. I needed to dry that off and though...

Re: Aloe question

Great, that sounds much more hopeful. At least I can't really miss it in the bathroom, I shall watch closely

I think it had been quite sheltered before I received it but then spent most of the summer outdoors here - some of the leaves ended up looking like red rubber!

Re: alvaralto seeds

Nobody sees your bank account number. AIUI Paypal do and more if you set up an account with them - I am not happy giving them that access. I have only used WU a couple of times, provided recipient details as typed by recipient and charges reasonable - much less than for Moneygram - and much less th...

Re: Poorly M bocasana

I brought it inside to isolate it fom everything else only a couple of weeks ago. It was looking pale in places before compared to a non-clumping M bocasana I have.
Perhaps I have managed to get rid of whatever and I should try it back in the light and cool

Poorly M bocasana

This plant has been worrying me for much of the year. I cannot see any bugs, mites, slugs etc. but despite doses of Provado, soap, tobacco solution and more it doesn't really improve. Something is affecting the ends of the tubercles as can be seen in this image

Aloe question

Earlier in the year I was given an Aloe arborescens (according to the label). From the start it was quite big and I didn't know quite what to do with it so it got left outside over Summer and then placed alone in my unheated greenhouse once the season turned. I had read that it would withstand light...

Re: alvaralto seeds

Afraid I have never used Western Union or Money Gram. I understand these are ways of actually sending hard cash in payment, unlike Pay Pal where the money is simply transferred to the recipients Pay Pal account and Pay Pal supervise the transaction to completion. They are indeed and very similar to...
