If it is extrafloral nectar it should be a clear sticky substance, usually on an areole. If you have ants in the greenhouse and it is nectar they will be all over it soon.

To collect or to hoard, that is the question.

Seriously, whenever I have a grafted plant, the stock seems to rot off.

I have an English friend who calls everything he does not like European.
BTW I don't like grafted cacti either.
